Lenzcamera: Rebuilding a Doha Camera Store on Shopify

Lenzcamera is an online camera and accessories store based in Doha, Qatar. It sells cameras, lenses, lighting, gimbals, tripods, bags and accessories from a wide range of brands, including action and 360 cameras.

Lenzcamera needed a store that customers could browse and buy from easily, with a seamless shopping experience. After losing its traffic, it also needed a stable platform and a way to recover the search visibility and sales it had built.

The store had been running on WooCommerce, and all of its traffic disappeared. A first move to another platform also failed. That left us with two problems: finding a platform that would hold up, and rebuilding the search signals the site had lost, all while keeping a large catalog usable.

We moved the store to Shopify for its e-commerce features, checkout and secure payment gateway. The front end uses Bootstrap for a responsive layout across devices, and hosting runs on Google Cloud Platform.

The redesign gives shoppers:

• A homepage with a clear call to shop online
• Category pages for cameras, accessories and brands
• Product pages with details, pricing and reviews
• A search function and a cart for checkout

We first moved the store from WooCommerce to a different platform, which also failed. We then migrated to Shopify. Once the store was running there, we worked on recovering its SEO signals and redesigned the site around a clean, simple layout with a deep category structure, so shoppers can find products quickly.

Lenzcamera is back on a platform it can rely on. The team reports that SEO signals and sales have recovered since the migration. Customers now browse a clearer catalog, search for specific products and check out through Shopify's secure payment flow.
